Fixed and Mobile Extraction Solutions for Plaster Dust
Plaster dust extraction solutions are essential for maintaining clean and safe work environments in educational workshops, renovation and drywall installation projects. Investing in a reliable plaster dust extraction system not only protects workers’ health but also enhances efficiency and cleanliness on job sites.
When dealing with plaster dust, both mobile and fixed extraction options are available. Mobile extraction systems offer flexibility and convenience, making them ideal for job sites where mobility is essential. These units can be moved easily to different work areas, capturing dust directly at the source. On the other hand, fixed extraction systems, like centralized dust collection units and built-in ventilation systems, provide continuous and high-capacity dust removal, making them suitable for workshops and production facilities where plaster dust is produced regularly.
Mobile Extraction
A good mobile extraction option is the FCC 2 Mobile Cartridge Filter Booth which has been designed specifically for tipping and mixing of plaster dust in smaller quantities. The unit features three hinged panels which allow for maximum versatility and working area with a fully extracted rear surface for maximum dust capture. Inside the filter chamber are two high efficiency and durable cartridge filters that are cleaned with compressed air via. 1” valves that pulse the air into the filters. The system is fitted with an internal fan and collection drawer that can be easily vacuumed to remove the collected dust.
Fixed Extraction
As for fixed extraction options, a good example would be the Plaster Mixing Extraction Hood. This partial enclosure has been specifically designed to capture the dry dusts produced during plaster mixing processes. The hood has been designed by AES and is manufactured in brushed galvanised steel for durability. The hood allows the user to place the mixing container or tipping container partially into the hood to increase the efficiency of dust capture. This design has been utilised in multiple installations by AES within the education sector in technical colleges and university workshops.
