A world leading client in the field of Oil and Gas required weld fume extraction system that would provide its workers with an effective control whilst ensuring ease of use. Existing traditional fume extraction arms did not give the coverage desired to allow the welders ease of movement for welding large items. This resulted in the existing system being underused causing almost all fumes allowed to enter the workplace.
A solution was found in weld torches with integral fume extraction connected to a Nederman Hi-Vacuum system. The new on-torch fume extraction system ensured that a far greater amount of the weld fume was now controlled ensuring improved air quality for all personnel.
